Things to see: Village Zemo Omalo, village Dartlo and Dartlo’s court, ‘Pirikita’ valley’s guardian towers, Verkhovani’s tower and Dochu’s architecture.
Trip starts from Kvemo Omalo. Trail goes up to reserved-Gometsri’s watershed’s ridge’s pass, after goes towards Dartlo, which is unique with its architecture. From Dartlo we go to left bank of river Alazani. Our route goes through ‘Pirikita’ Alazani and then through Nakaicho’s pass. From Nakaicho trail goes to Dadikurta, which is also one of the highest place in Tusheti (2350 meters above sea level). After we pass Verkhvovani, we see left village- Tsaro. On the top you’ll be able to see necropolis and a bit higher- Beri Sameba’s cross. From here trail follows Tsovatatskali’s right bank, until we appear at Tsovata’s valley and left villages, that are surrounded by mountains. As we go back through Verkhvovani, we’ll see Tusheti’s highest tower (17meters). Next village is Jvarboseli, from where beautiful sights of nature and villages like Vedziskhevi, Koklata and Alisgori, can be seen.
